A Serving Tagine, normally very decorative, sometimes hand painted. Is used for serving food, it presents your meal perfectly and adds decoration and colour to your table. The conical lid helps to keep your food warm and protected.
These tagines are normally made from a finer or white clay, the better quality ones are made from porcelain and can be bought with other dishes like soup bowls and plates all carrying the same design.
It is not recommended to cook with these tagines as they are not designed to stand extreme heat .
Some designs are so exquisite the tagines become ornaments. they also make great storage pots with the smaller ones being used for spices, salts, etc

I feel the same about your niche... I know nothing about carpets. However I have been to a Moroccan dinner and the food was just great! I also love the bellydancers... =)
